Implementing these popups is simple thanks to the power of Showit! Here are step-by-step directions for how to get it done.

ADD THE DESIGN TO
YOUR SHOWIT ACCOUNT

To add the design to your showit account:

A) Click your name in the bottom left of the showit interface to bring up the Account pane. Here, click "Add Design to Library" (highlighted in figure A)

B) You will be prompted to enter a Shared Design Key. You should have received this Key in your initial email, but if you can't find it, let us know! Once you have it, enter the Key and hit "Enter".

C) You will see a screen similar to this one. Hit "Add Now" to continue. The design will now be added to your account.

ADD A POPUP
TO YOUR PAGE

A) Click the Ellipses (...) next to the Page Name under the Page Tab on the left hand side of the showit interface.

B) Select the "My Library" tab at the top of the Choose a Canvas screen. Navigate to the correct section (Black Tie – Free Popups > Popups) and select the Popup you would like to add to your page.

Find the Canvas settings on the right hand side of the showit interface. Ensure that the settings on your screen match the settings found to the left. If they do, congrats! You've successfully added the popup to the page. Now we have to set the trigger.

SET THE TRIGGER

The popup won't show up on the page by default. To get it to "pop up", we need to set some sort of trigger. This can be done either with Scroll Actions or Click Actions.

Scroll Actions perform an action when the page is scrolled to a certain part of the screen. I recommend setting these popups to appear when your Footer appears on screen. To do this, select the Footer (or equivalent) canvas on the left hand side of the showit interface, and click "Scroll Actions" on the right hand side. You should then make sure the settings are similar to the settings on the right.

D) Find your new popup canvas on the left hand side of the showit interface. Click the ellipses (...) to the right of the canvas name, and select 'Convert to Site Canvas'. Now you can add this canvas to any other page on your site just like you would other site canvases.

If you would rather the popup activate when the user clicks something, that's easy to set up as well! Simply select the link, item, or group you'd like the user to click to activate the popup, and then click "Click Actions" on the right hand side. Make sure the settings are similar to this

Customize!

You can now customize the fonts, colors, and images on the popups, just like you would the rest of your showit site!
